The lodge is surrounded by farms; orchards with pick-your-own peaches, apples, pears & cherries in season. There's sheep, cattle, vegie farms. Roadside stalls sell delicious apple pies, honey, jam, seasonal fruit. A minute from the lodge is the Apple Bar. A famous local restaurant favourite. Owner/chef Michael Jaggard prepares spectacular seafood, pizza & beef. My neighbours Sean & Manoo (from Panaroma restaurant in Bondi) now run the cafe/restaurant at Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens.
